This course is designed to introduce the design, creation, and control of windows and screens that are part of systems of programs. Students should have a working knowledge of the SAS System for Information Delivery.

SAS/AF, Applications Facility allows developers to provide users with controlled access to systems of programs.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this course, programmers will be able to create applications so that:

  • one application can control several activities.
  • the user's path is controlled.
  • specific data entries are allowed or checked.
  • tables of information and selection lists can be provided for the user.
  • help windows can be created for fields and windows.
  • user access is directed through the use of menus.
